Now it’s a era of IM on different messaging apps like WhatsApp , IMO and Skype. These apps need strong signals for your phone they won’t work in areas where signals are not strong and you won’t be able to send or receive messages from messages App.
From any Home screen, tap Apps.
You can see this solution and follow these steps for the easy solution you only have to do the following.

If by applying the above method you haven’t find the desired results you can try the third party app like textra or any other app like this here is the link.
Download Textra SMS (Free)
Textra is definitely a handsome-looking SMS app, especially since it received its Sept. 3 Material Design-inspired update. I like the look quite a bit, and I look forward to seeing how it will evolve going forward.
It’s pretty customizable. You can choose your color themes, set dark mode (‘dark mode off’ has a white background you can select any color you want , dark mode is grey, black is…well…black), request delivery reports turn on or turn them off , auto save videos or don’t let auto save and images to your phone (if you’re into that sort of thing) and more.
I also like that Textra has a quick reply pop up, or the ability to reply immediately by tapping on the notification, which will display a window that kind of hovers over your home screen or whatever you were looking at before. Please see the above screen shot. Unfortunately, landscape keyboard is not available with this feature.
